What is Land Pollution?
Land pollution is when the land get contaminated or polluted because of us dumping our rubbish, waste and other harmful toxins. There are many reasons for land pollution such as humans littering and waste/garbage washed ashore from boats. Sewage outlets and oil rigs are a reason for land pollution. Land pollution is basically undesirable or unwanted waste and rubbish on the land/soil.
How can we help?
At our schools the type of rubbish that students can help out with is land pollution. We can help out in many ways and it is really simple. You can make a big difference just by picking up the piece of rubbish the boy in your class dropped or even by just putting it in the bin in the first place. Another way we can help is by putting recyclable stuff in the recycling bin and everything else in the bin. This way the amount of land used as land used for landfills won't rise that dramatically. At the end of the day even a little action can make a big difference.
